You Can Heal Hashimoto’s & Hypothyroidism — And I’m Living Proof

If you’ve been told that Hashimoto’s or hypothyroidism is something you’ll just have to manage for the rest of your life, I want you to know one thing:

Getting test results that said “everything looks great” while I felt like a zombie just trying to get through the day.
Thyroid disease is a silent disease. On paper, you may look “normal.” But inside, you’re dealing with weight gain, hair loss, bloating, anxiety, brittle nails, low energy, and zero answers.
I get it.
Because I lived it.
But here’s the truth: Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism are treatable through diet and lifestyle.
It took me 14 months to get off medication. Today, I manage my thyroid condition fully through the habits I’ve built. And I’ve been symptom-free for 8 years. Yes, really.
It took time. It took patience.
And it took finally shutting out the noise of trendy diets and outdated advice, and following what actually works.
Now I help women just like you take their health back — and today, I’m going to walk you through the 5 steps I would take if I were starting over today.
🌞 Step 1: Create a Winning Morning Routine
The first thing I did was anchor my mornings with healing habits that support thyroid and liver health.
➡️ Start your day with 16 oz of lemon water — this helps detox your liver (which produces 80% of your thyroid hormone!)
➡️ Within 30–60 minutes of waking, eat a nourishing breakfast rich in complex carbohydrates like fruit or oatmeal with berries. Your thyroid needs fuel, not fasting.

🚫 Step 2: Eliminate Gluten, Dairy, & Eggs for 90 Days
This is one of the most powerful steps you can take. I know it sounds tough — but it’s so worth it.
Why eliminate them?
Gluten can trigger autoimmune reactions and increase inflammation — especially for women with Hashimoto’s.
Dairy can be mucus-forming, disrupt digestion, and promote acne or congestion.
Eggs contain proteins that may cross-react with thyroid tissue, worsening symptoms.
Cutting these out for just 90 days can lead to reduced inflammation, clearer skin, more energy, and a calmer immune system.
🥗 Step 3: Eat Mostly Anti-Inflammatory Foods
Your plate should become your medicine.
Think colorful, whole foods like:
Leafy greens
Berries
Sweet potatoes
Wild-caught salmon
Turmeric, ginger, garlic
Benefits of anti-inflammatory eating include:
Boosted immunity
Reduced joint pain and bloating
Better digestion
Balanced blood sugar
Sustained energy levels
Improved mood and mental clarity
Processed and fast foods may be convenient — but they’re stealing your vitality. Choose healing instead.
🧘♀️ Step 4: Reduce Your Stress
We accept high stress as a normal part of life — but it’s not normal, and it’s certainly not harmless.
Stress can:
Disrupt your thyroid hormone conversion
Spike your cortisol
Wreck your sleep
Slow down weight loss
You don’t have to meditate for an hour — even 5 minutes of deep breathing, journaling, or a walk outside can change your entire day.
I practice mindfulness daily because I have to. Not because I’m perfect — but because I know the cost of stress on my body. And you do too.
